For Hillbilly Casino, it was always fun to think of situations for the bands mascot, Punchy, to be involved in for our posters and merchandise, often referencing some historical figure/moment, or in this case pop culture.
This artwork, initially drawn for a show poster but eventually used for a sticker, is an homage to the Poster for the 1981 animated film HEAVY METAL. Perhaps most obviously because of the altering of the band logo to match HEAVY METAL’S unusual tilted lettering.
